There is a most lovely exhibition at the Museum of Art at the Rhode Island School of Design going by the name of Cocktail Culture: Ritual and Invention in American Fashion, 1920–1980 . The exhibit showcases the glamor of the watering hole, our most notorious American pastime and social ritual.
